Strongly influenced by emotions derived from my introspection of life experiences, including stories about women, I aim to capture scenes where nothing much appears to be happening but which speak volumes about our individual and collective humanity.
My works attempt to create narratives that speak to the female experience. My practice interrogates the construction and constraints of identity, whilst offering a space for individual liberation. The subjects are unapologetic women who at times gaze directly at the viewer. This focus on women urges viewers to learn to embrace our unique journeys and strive for confidence in appreciating our growth and who we are.
