As part of a series, ‘Safe spaces’, which was informed by my personal experience that made me realise that my words are similar to partly formed thought fragments which I dread taming into writing or speech with just anyone. Hence the exploration of safe spaces, in relation to people’s response to overwhelming emotions. Consequently, I see that safe spaces are not only confined spaces, but they are also people and it does not have to be in solitary.

The female figures as a medium of communication is a physical alternative to words, it represents me. The bars are lights that are stepping out routes if necessary.
